The matrix gGmbH for the promotion of democracy, participation and sustainable social development is the non-profit company in the matrix group.

The matrix gGbmH is the sister company of the matrix GmbH & Co. KG. The gGmbH was founded in spring 2020 out of the ambition to bundle numerous non-commercial projects and the matrix commitment as well as to develop and implement new projects.

These include, among others

  • Projects on equal opportunities through inclusion and health promotion in social spaces,
  • Projects for and with young people, for example in the field of STEM funding or
  • Projects around the topics of sustainable agriculture and food supply.

The establishment of this new unit contributes as a structural measure to the realization of our corporate objective that in future more people can live, learn and work independently.

The MakeOpaedics project

Open and collaborative developments in orthopedic aids help patients and SMEs. In the project MakeOpaedics Innovative open source hardware is created using digital manufacturing methods - with the aim of promoting change in the supply system and making individual aids accessible to a broad section of the population.

The project team develops existing maker prototypes into professional solutions in a co-creative process.

MINT networked

MINTvernetzt is the service and contact point for the community of MINT actors in Germany.

These are supported by networking rooms, transfer offers and innovation impulses to make innovative and sustainable MINT educational offers that appeal to even broader and more diverse target groups. This includes girls and young women in particular.

MINT is networked by Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and funded by the Amber-Stiftung, the matrix gGmbH, the National MINT Forum eV, the University of Regensburg as well as the Donors' Association implemented together.

As a network partner, matrix gGmbH is responsible for the technical and conceptual structure of the MINT-E platform and community management.

The task

  • Planning, organization and control of the implementation of a nationwide networking platform (community platform)
  • Communication with internal and external programmers and IT service providers
  • Management of the team and coordination of the distribution of tasks
  • Definition of requirements, goals and creation of release plans
  • Analysis and evaluation of technology standards
  • Quality assurance and optimization of the project
  • Adhering to the budget and schedule

You bring that with you

  • Vocational training / a university degree or work experience in the IT industry with a focus on web development
  • Are university dropouts and career changers with appropriate professional experience
  • Information technology and business knowledge
  • Strong understanding of technology and broad know-how of current languages, methods and tools for Javascript full-stack development in MERN
  • You like to take the initiative and always have the goal in mind
  • You work economically, customer-oriented and analytically
  • Practical experience in e.g. B. web development, current agile
    Methods and versioning
  • Content-related and personal reliability, communication and organizational skills
  • Creativity, commitment & team spirit
  • Experience and references in project management for web development projects,
    gladly in the community area
  • Enjoyment of working in value-adding projects in the MINT area
